The World Is Your Bathtub

That's the mindset Uncle Rico had, the mindset David Sheppert has, and the mindset I hope to someday obtain. It's just been a great week! I got sick again but that just has become the usual! It seems that in the mission, getting sick is just a mindset too. Everything is a mindset! As we learned at Jason Lee--faith is such a mindset. You can only do what you believe you can do with action. I have been really focusing on increasing my faith. Talking to everybody you see always is a test of faith. I was getting comfortable with that, so God made me sick and said you have to do that all over again but sick. As long as I let the spirit take the wheel, the sickness doesn't matter. The Atonement of Jesus Christ will conquer any trial you face. That's what makes our job of spreading the gospel so doable!

We have been teaching a really really cool family these last few weeks! The Manssur family!! Isabel the mom, who is a doctor, loves everything about the church and wants to try everything. She started a fast yesterday and made it through the 24 hours! We got to start the fast with her and the spirit was there for sure. And her daughter Stefania, wanted to be baptized from the get go. She can explain the stuff I teach better than I can in Spanish no doubt! It was a very joyful day when she got baptized, and Isabel broke her fast with the Cake at the baptism! We hope she will be baptized next Sunday!

We also got an awesome reference from a member! This older fellow from Venezuela who runs multiple burger joints in Ventanas! We became good friends and got to talk about the gospel over some burgers! There really just isn't anything like a juicy big Mac or a Travis Scott quarter pounder at McDonald's, but his burgers were the best I've had here! He went to church with his grand daughter and they have been making great progress!!

Sometimes in the streets somebody will say jokingly to us, “Hey, my friend wants to hear the word of God!!” And I love hearing that even if they don't! A 20 year old said that and I jumped on his friend. Little by little more and more guys in the neighborhood came out to see what was going on. Next thing you know, we have a group of fifteen 20 year olds gathered around hearing “the word of God!” We talked all about Jesus Christ and a remission of sins through baptism and we've been teaching this group ever since! I'm really curious to see what happens!
Living the Good Life, wait till I get my money right, you got to be startin something, rolling rolling rolling got me stargazing. SELAH!

In case I dont see yah, Buenas Tardes, Buenas Noches, y Buenas Noches,
Élder Sheppert
