La Última Baile

Transfers are past and it seems that I'm in Simbimbe for one last transfer!! It feels like the last dance, but I know I still just started. Not a bad thing at all. This place is awesome! And more exciting I'm training a young buck up in the righteous ways. Elder Rodriguez of Uruguay! This couldn't be more appropriate because Uruguay was always the funnest International team to play with in Fifa. The first day on the job was stressful but this is just fun! We are running all over the place and finding and teaching and preaching.

I still haven't had the pleasure of having chicken feet soup, but I ate some Cow foot soup a few days ago. It really wasn't that bad until I found out that it was literally just a cow foot. Then I had second guesses. Just muscles and bones and broth.

This Sunday had to have been one of the craziest Sundays of my life. First off, I woke up that morning all ready to go, then was reminded that I had to give a talk but I had completely forgotten. Doesn't matter. I had to go find our friends. We got the friends we could to church and really worked especially diligently with a couple. Then it was my time to give a talk focused on The Sabbath day. I talked about the sacrament, how I had chosen not to play basketball on Sundays and have been blessed physically and spiritually for it ever since, and how commandments are not sacrifices they are only blessings in our lives. Obedience to the laws of the gospel through the Atonement of Jesus Christ after baptism brings Vida Eterna! El día de reposo is a commandment and it will always bless us as we go to church. I somehow ended up talking for 20 minutes which is what they needed. After the first hour, we found a reference that went to church and we are actually friends with a lot of her family, an incredible miracle!! We had a big family that was supposed to come, but did not. They live very close to the church, so we went to check what happened after the first hour. They all said church was great! I was so confused. We found out that what happened is that they went to the wrong church somehow. This time we showed them the way and they attended 2nd hour and the baptism afterwards of our friend!
This week we baptized our friend Gilmar the brother of Josue! He's famous for saying “Bueníiiiiiisimo”. They always are running around and are great.

President Peterson challenged us to know the 4 gospels in the Bible better as Christmas approaches. I have really enjoyed reading in Matthew this week. The Sermon on the Mount has always stood out to me. All of the blessings that come from trials. I want to challenge everyone to read the beatitudes and pick one to improve on. Whether it's Chris being a peacemaker, or Annie showing mercy, Blessed are they that do these things. Words of Jesus, not mine. This is the most important work I could be doing. I'm grateful to be here. Let's go Cougs! SELAH!

In Case I don't see yah Buenas Tardes, Buenas Noches, y Buenas Noches,
