No longer am I a padawan. I have a ton to learn, but the training is complete. Transfers have came and gone. I'm still in the Degoba system or Ventanas! I do not mind this place at all. The members are awesome, I know the area super well, and we got some good things planned this month. Elder Anderson went to Guayaquil so I got a new companion, Elder Luengo. He's a Chileno so there are 4 Chilenos in our Zone! Which also means the Spanish is going to go to the next level. It's strange. I'm not super good but I sometimes catch myself thinking in Spanish. That's a strange feeling but it's an awesome grind. Something really cool about him is he loves rock and roll. He walked in put 4 magnets on the wall. The 4 best ones. The Beatles, LZ, PF, RHCP. My mind was blown away. I knew there would be no problems here.
We have been teaching all sorts of people this week. The young, the old, the crazy, the normal, the willing. Two people that we got to teach and baptize this week were Jhonny and Daniela. We had been teaching Jhonny since before I came to Ecuador but he was seeming close to give up. When I saw him at the church building Monday he asked me, when's my baptism!?!? I said this Saturday! And so after a long long time he did it! It was a super awesome bautismo and really joyful the whole way through. We also got to teach and baptize Daniela. Another family we have been teaching for a long time. Her family is really interesting. We are working hard with her parents to get married. We taught a lesson on the Plan of Salvation that was spiritually felt with them. The message of eternal families is something that always invites the spirit. They all said that they want their family to be together forever, so we are gonna help them make that happen. What a cool job I have.
Conference was amazing! Never misses does it. The new hymns were all really great to listen to. All of the messages were amazing. I didn't understand a ton cause it was in Spanish but I scooted very close to the phone screen to see captions for the prophet. Oh dear. That was an insane talk. I'm grateful to be a missionary and do the Lord's work right now. The message has never been clearer in a talk. The Second Coming of the Savior is happening real soon. Now is not the time to procrastinate. I'm grateful for our prophet and I know that as we listen to the things he says we will be prepared for anything the Lord has ready for us! SELAH!
In case I don't see yah Buenas tardes, Buenas Noches, y Buenas Noches,
