Hable Serio!

It has been fun teaching English class on my own. I get a little group of people each Monday to teach English to. We have been learning about cooking. That was fun cause I don't know every cooking word in Spanish like boil or season. My favorite phrase that everyone uses here is “Habla serio!”, or “Speak Serious!” So that was the phrase of the day for one of my classes. Speak serious!

I think my favorite food here is called patacones. Everything here is made from Verde, this type of green banana. Patacones is made from Verde and are really bland banana cookies. But they really grew on me fast. Hermana Coca made us some Tortilla de Yuca which was also amazing. Two Ecuadorian foods that you cannot find in the States. Buses are just “Bus” aquí. We take tons of little Trici Motos everywhere. They are basically just little go carts. I feel like I'm playing real life Mario Kart especially when they start trying to pass each other and I'm eating bananas.

Two highlights of the week were Danny and Adonis. We had known Danny for months and he had such a change of heart that I can only say was by the spirit. He understands everything and is working on getting the priesthood now! Adonis is a powerlifter for Ecuador. He was a little unsure but we taught him a really special lesson on the Plan of Salvation and he said that he had 0 doubts after this plan. That's what I'm saying! The Plan of Salvation made by our Heavenly Father is perfect and if we follow it we can have full joy on the earth.

I've been thinking a whole lot about John the Baptist and the work he did. One of the most humble people to ever do it preparing the way for the Savior. “Whose sandals I am not worthy to unloose” Amazing scripture Luke 3:16, not to be mistaken for John 3:16. I have been focusing on making my message simple, humble, clear and focused like John! It's all for the Savior!
Selah!

In case I dont see yah, Buenas Tardes, Buenas Noches, y Buenas Noches,
