Pink Floyd Is Okay Now
I don't know what to say at all. Our phone stopped charging last week so we got one of the Zone leader's phones. "Thank goodness," we thought, but we were planning for the week like a diligent missionary may do when the new phone just blacked out and stopped working. I tried all methods of CPR, put it on a ventilator, and even followed my father's footsteps in giving it phone surgery but nothing worked. So now my companion and I are down 2 phones, money and communication ability.
I had the opportunity to go to the Guayaquil Temple on Friday. Wow. Everything about that trip was and still is great. This temple is particularly interesting because of its large Nephi-like stature. That temple is the house of the Lord if I ever saw it. I am so grateful for the temple and the peace, revelation, guidance, and spirit that I can be a part of inside and even outside too! My favorite message to share is how families can be together forever. Para siempre. I'm so grateful that God has a perfect plan for all of us and we can have eternal families through temples.
Yes. We are officially teaching somebody named David Gilmar. Very close to lead guitarist and singer of Pink Floyd, David Gilmour. I didn't notice but my companion did after I made a comment about David Gilmour. We have been teaching this guy for a few weeks and I never noticed. But he is now my favorite. He's the brother of Josúe and loves to say, "Buenísimo!" In a strange way. We did a lesson about faith using a pen with them. We placed it on the ground and asked them to pick it up with only their faith. They never seem to be able to. But we can because we know faith es un principio de acción! So we pick it up and go "ta da!" It always is a joyful occasion and they understand after that if they have faith they need to show it through action, like reading scriptures or going to church.
And yes we found the guy who sells Rolex's, and he is in the Ward!! I may have to make some purchases.
In case I don't see yah Buenas trades, Buenas Noches, y Buenas Noches,
Elder Sheppert
