"Those Canaan Days"

My companion needed a haircut so we went but we didn't realize that the guy cutting the hair really took his time. We were there for an hour. A lengthy haircut it was, but more or a less a sentimental roller coaster for me while I waited. All I could do was sit and watch the music videos that were playing cause we were the only people there. When "Bohemian Rhapsody" came on, I almost shed a tear. Then "Somewhere over the Rainbow"- Izzy, and then "Gangsta's Paradise." And then he switched it to Ecuadorian music. It was so strange hearing that music again. Had me thinking about my Canaan Days, the good times.

But NOW is the good times!

It has been another crazy week of going house to house, lesson to lesson, contact to contact, never a dull moment. Before Hermano Huber's baptismal interview, he gave us 4 missionaries gifts. I received his phone and he refused to take it back. He gave away his headphones and chains too. He said “Use these for the work.” We gave it all back by the end of the interview. This interview also went on for 1 ½ hours. He loved to explain in very deep detail his beliefs. I was outside the house and we could kind of see what was going on but not super well. To explain repentance, he stood up and turned off the light and sat back down. This is what it is like when we sin. Then he got up and turned the light back on, “Boom.” And that is all he had to say. My companion figured out that he was meaning to say that when we repent, the light of Christ is back in our lives. Repentance is a great thing that we can receive so many blessings and receive so much joy from.

I hit a leg day for the first time in weeks because I didn't have any equipment until then. I went all out but I shouldn't have because the next 3 days I was coincidentally, very sick. On top of that every step hurt because of that leg day. I was waddling all over, but it was a quick waddle, no doubt. For those next couple days my physical health was very low but I kept telling myself, I can't teach “enduring to the end” without experiencing it myself. So enduring through the much pain I had, I now feel ready to teach all 5 parts of the doctrine of Christ especially enduring to the end. I learned my lesson the hard way. Don't be next and don't skip leg day.

In case I don't see yah, buenas tardes, buenas noches, y buenas noches,
