First Day Out

It's been a good week.

The clase finished the English portion of learning to be a missionary. Meaning these next 4 weeks of my life are dedicated to learning and becoming as fluent in Spanish as possible. And still I'm not that good in English. I definitely learned a ton in Spanish though and have quickly found that future tense is the best kinda tense. The gift of tongues has been real and it will only become more real.

I memorized Psalms 23 and say it like 100 times a day in my head. I feel like the sniper from "Saving Private Ryan" except in a missionary way. “I fear no evil, for thou art with me…” If you haven't memorized this, I would invite you to read it and do so.

Unlike Tee Grizzly, it was my first day outta the MTC. Two other elders and I woke up at 4 in the morning and hopped on a flight to Phoenix to go to the Ecuador consulate and get our visas. We had to wait three hours at the consulate, but we finally got them and all was well. We decided to get some Canes but we had to walk 20 minutes outside there and part way back. Do not recommend in Phoenix during the summer. 110 outside and I got cooked. But we got to talk to a lot of people along the way and I felt like I was already helping people the whole time. So no regrets on the Canes trip at all. We helped a lady and the Caniac combo is crazy. We then traveled back and made it to the MTC by 11:30 pm. Otro día otro dolar.

In case I don't see you, Buenas tardes, Buenas noches, y Buenas noches.
